(ellena) Hi im Ellena and this is my friend Greer. FOr the next two minutes we are going to show you what the SPCA does and how they need you.
(greer) The SPCA has been do-gooding since 1824.
(ellena) That was in London though. The first one in New Zealand was in Dunedin in 1882. That was AGES ago!
BOTH lets go and take a look inside
(greer) The SPCA helps and looks after stray animals and then adopts them out. But they put alot more effort, time and money into it than meets the eye. (ellena) Yes they spend a couple of million dollars a year just on the pets to make them feel at home
(greer) yes, if were to be a dog i would love to stay their!
(ellena) Imagine having a sleepover with all your mates every night and hardly feeling home sick at all
(greer) Yes I also heard that they have a really well equipped hospital
(ellena) They are so kind letting in any animal that is sick, homeless or needs to be adopted
(greer) So next time you feel that you need to give up a pet. Dont leave them for dead on the street
(ellena) Send them into the SPCA BOTH They will be more than happy to help
(greer) so if you ever want a lovable companion drop into the SPCA becuase they need your help to make animals have a happy life just like we do.
(ellena) but only adopt them if you know that you can treat them well and can care for them properly.
BOTH So come on give them a life they deserve and adopt or at least donate to the SPCA, theyre well worth it!
